If it's the little things that make the biggest difference in comfort and style, the Honda offering certainly seems to have a more memorable cabin.

The Subaru Forester only offers 28.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, falling short of its competitor. Even with the rear seats lowered, there's only 74.2 cubic feet of cargo room.

The Honda CR-V comes standard with a 190-horsepower, 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine. That's paired with a continuously variable transmission with Sport Mode. All the models are also available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

The Subaru Forester comes standard with a 182-horsepower, 2.5L SUBARU BOXER® engine. It just doesn't match up to the power produced by the base CR-V trim. If you're looking for more thrills, the winner is clearly the CR-V.
