Honda Accord Standard Safety: Honda Sensing®

Honda has raised the bar for their standard safety features. Ensuring that passengers are covered while on their trips, each Accord model includes a suite of safety features called Honda Sensing®. The suite is celebrated for its host of driver-assistive features that are designed to help prevent collisions.

For example, the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) applies pressure to your brakes when it detects an unavoidable collision. The system reacts quickly to any obstacles in your vehicle’s path with its sensory system. The car is brought to a complete and smooth stop to help avoid any sudden jerks within your cabin.

To assist in avoiding collisions caused by accidental lane shifts, there’s the Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM). The system has the capability to correct your steering while changing lanes. If the driver doesn’t properly signal, the system will gently steer the car back into its original lane.

The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow can maintain your vehicle’s space between it and the car ahead when traveling at a low speed. Select your preferred following distance, and the system will slightly adjust your speed to preserve that distance from the car in front of you.

These features are just the beginning of the Honda Sensing® safety suite. On top of all this, 2021 Honda Accord drivers are treated to these highlighted systems, plus more advanced features.

2021 Honda Accord: Advanced Safety Features

Inspired by the latest safety technologies on the market, the 2021 Honda Accord has many advanced features to choose from.

One example is the available Head-Up Display (HUD), which displays vehicle information onto the car’s windshield. The display is intended to reach the driver’s line of sight and give information like:

• Speed
• Turn-by-turn directions
• Incoming calls

With this Head-Up Display, drivers can keep their attention on the road at all times while still staying informed about the status of their vehicles.

Other available advanced safety features include the LED fog lights. These lights pierce through cloudy, foggy roads so that stormy weather conditions don’t stand a chance.

The Accord also has available integrated parking sensors, which help protect the rear of your car and alert you to any objects in your way while parking.
